-Anu here. Wow, first video post and it works! Though the quality is not great on the web. I shot this as we passed Timur Shahi market (in the shadow of the Timur Shah's mausoleum). Kabul is icy and frozen at the moment. The airport is shut due to a power cut. Cars slide along on icy ruts and everywhere, people are getting ready for Eid, which starts Saturday!
Awesome Anu. You are the blogmistress of Kabul. What on earth was that guy carving in the vid? It was either a slab of ice or some sort of coffin . . . bizarre...

Hi Paul, wow thanks for the compliment, though the blog's behind as our internet links were cut for nearly two days due to the undersea earthquake near Taiwan! I just watched the video again-- can't see anything being carved! I think the big blue thing was just a covered handcart with socks or fake jewellery or something on it...!
